Welcome to AttendMate. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AttendMate mobile application ("App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

AttendMate is a client-side helper application designed to track class attendance and synchronize timetables with Google Calendar. The App runs entirely on the user's device and uses Google's public APIs to facilitate calendar event generation.

2. Use of Third-Party Services (Google Calendar)

By using the Google Calendar Sync feature, you authorize the App to interact with your Google Account on your behalf. You acknowledge that:

• Your use of Google Calendar is subject to Google's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google Account.
• The App only writes to the calendar configurations you permit. We are not responsible for any accidental changes, deletions, or data losses that may occur on your Google Calendar as a result of using this sync.

3. Local Data Storage & User Responsibility

Because AttendMate is a local-first application:

• All attendance records and schedules are saved directly to your device's SQLite database.
• If you uninstall the App or clear its cache, your local attendance records will be permanently deleted. We do not maintain backups of your local data.

4. Disclaimer of Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the developers be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from your use of the App.

5. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted directly within this page. Your continued use of the App following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
